Class,
ReplyDeleteThank you all for responding and for learning from your classmates! I hope this activity helped you learn that what we discovered in Animal Farm is part of the fabric of our society today. In the novel, the pigs used the other animals to exploit resources in the same way that the rich use the poor and working class to get wealthy (think of the government bailout of Wall Street with our tax dollars). The pigs also become more and more human in appearance and behavior, to the point where the other animals can’t see any distinction between the pigs and humans drinking together in the farmhouse.
Next week we'll watch the adaptation of the novel before Thanksgiving Break!
Take care,
Mr. Sabath
