    1. From Earl Childresses video I learned how abrasive our policeman can be, and I also agree with Earl that they handled the situation inappropriately. I saw the sheer brutality and chaos of the Occupy Wall Street situation.

2.It was a video from the Occupy Wallstreet debacle.

3.Mine was already resolved and it was more of a war, where as Earls video is still in progress and it's an altercation between two groups of people. Some similarities were that both groups are or were united at some point, they both take place in America, and one side feels unequal toawrds the other. Also the differences are the gap in time, the American Revolution was a war, Occupy Wall Street is more of a protest, and cops fought other cops in the American Revolution not civilians.

    1. I learned that perseverance and determination pays off no matter the situation or issue.

    2. It was William's video on the American Revolution.

    3. My video was on Occupy Wall Street. I would say that alot of hostility is involved in both of these movements even though one is within a country and the other is between two whole countries. But overall I would say the American Revolution was more hostile since people were killed as apposed to Occupy Wall Street.

  3. 1. When I was watching Kiera's video, I learned that the egyptians were struggling and revolting for their freedom.

    2. The video was about the Egyptian Revolution.

    3. I talked about occupy wallstreet. Some similarities that I saw were that both groups of people were treated badly, even though they did not use physical force. Also they both had problems with corruption in the government. Some diferences were that the egyptian revolution was bloody and happened in a different location.

From watching Jazmin Horton's video on The Mexican Revolution, I learned the revolution started because the President Porfirio Diaz was ignoring the citizens rights like social justice and the citizens started to get discontent with the government. This revolution is older than than Egypt's facebook revolution so instead of "posting", the citizens had to do things like protest and march and go to war.

  7. From watching Kenya's video on the Tunisian Revolution, I learned that the revolution was started because they wanted a democratic change, and their leader wasn't listening to them. This revolution is similar to mines because they protest against their leader, and fought for their rights. Its difference, because their leader was killed, while in mines the leader abdicated.

    1. I learned that people are being VERY mistreated for protesting peacefully for something they think isnt right or what they dont agree with.

    2. Earls one on the occupy wall street protest.

    3. Mines a bigger revolution because it deals with more than one country, but both of ours deal with people being treated unfairly and them just wanted things to be better.

1.I watched Christina's video and I learned that the March revolution is also called the February revolution, and that it began because of things like food shortages, and that Tsar Nicholas II abdicated.

2.The video talked about the March revolution / Russian Revolution.

3.Some similarities of the videos are that people were being mistreated and prices went up on things like food. They were different because Tsar Nicholas abdicated and The Tunisian Dictator was killed.

  12. 1.I watched kenya lorick video and it was talking about the crulity on the Tunisia peolple. And they were simply demanding basic human rights and it turned into a revoulution.

2.The video was talking about the revolution to freedom.

3.Our videos were complete oppisites because hers mainly talked about people having the same rights as any american would have,on the other hand my video was mainly talking about what's happening on wall street.

  13. 1.I watched Kenyas video on the Tunisia Revolution and i learned that the people wanted a democratic view on things and i also learned that people were either being killed or hurt badly in this revolution.

2.This revolution talked about the things that happened during the protest and how the revolution would lead to what they wanted.

3.I think that our are similar to eachother because people were killed and beaten for showing their feeling to how they should be treated. They are similar becasue people were being killed and beaten to death and this revolution didnt stop until the people got what they wanted. There wernt any differences excpt they happened in different places.

  14. When I watched Kiera's video I learned that they didn't stop at what they were doing for there freedom.

    Egyptian Revolution

From Kiera's video and my video was that in kiera video they wanted freedom and my Russian revoltion video they were upset because of there leader. Both of the video fight for what they wanted.

1.) From watching William's video I learned that the men of the American Revolution were very brave. They also had alot of determination and pride in what they were fighting for because they wore blankets on their feet as shoes during battle. In the end the Revolution meant much more to the Americans because they were fighting for their lives.

2.) This video was on the American Revolution.

3.) One difference from my video compared to William's that the people of Egypt were rebelling against their on government and the Americans were rebelling against the British King and government. One similar thing was the even though they were going up against people with higher power than them it didn't stop anything because they both knew what they wanted.

    1. When I watched D'Amonte's video I learned that you can get arrested and harmed for just supporting what you believe in.

    2. Wall Street Protest.

    3. Our video's were different mines talked about fighting in a war and his was about people being arrested.

    1. I learned that people are being mistreated for protesting peacefully for something they think isnt right or based on certain beliefs they have and some of their constitutional rights are being violated.

    2. Earls one on the occupy wall street protest.

    3. Mines is a bigger revolution because it deals with a more serious and life threatening problem & people were dying over ridiculous things but both of ours deal with people being treated unfairly because of what they supported and believe in

  18. Class,

Thank you all for responding and for learning from your classmates! I hope this activity helped you learn that what we discovered in Animal Farm is part of the fabric of our society today. In the novel, the pigs used the other animals to exploit resources in the same way that the rich use the poor and working class to get wealthy (think of the government bailout of Wall Street with our tax dollars). The pigs also become more and more human in appearance and behavior, to the point where the other animals can’t see any distinction between the pigs and humans drinking together in the farmhouse.

Next week we'll watch the adaptation of the novel before Thanksgiving Break!

    Take care,
